Back home from a great couple days at blizzcon. Want to give a big thanks to the guys from the incredible podcast of amazing awesomeness, mike schramm and turpster, it was great to meet both of them.

Initial blizzcon day 1 report

So blizzcon day one has come and gone and it was a very good day. It started with a chance encounter and hand shake in the hall with the president of blizzard, mike Morhaim. We didn't stand in line, instead we got there about 15 minutes after door open and walked right in. Blizzard made some huge announcements, I got to meet chris metzen. Had another lore sighting, as well as Clara from the guild. Rounded off the night meeting mike schramm to buy my official tipoaa shirt, heading back to the center for Starcraft II finals. All in all a very good day.

I will write longer about all this when I get home but for now it is into the Starbucks line for my beautiful bride.

Blizzcon day two is a go.

Famous peeps everywhere

I went to the wow head/gamebreaker tv party last night here at blizzcon. While walking over I ran into the turpster and mike shramm from tipoaa.


Not the greatest picture ever but was awesome all the same.

Once inside got to see all the celebs from the online world. Had a goal to see all the guys from the legendary podcast. Gary Gannon and mike b were pretty easy to find.



Bright lights and all, but lore wasn't to be found until I was getting ready to leave. All I managed to get was an outline of the legendary fro.

Blizzcon arrival day

Made it to Anaheim for blizzcon. Now to get our passes and maybe if I can stay awake hit a party to see superstars like lore or turpster.

Blizzcon countdown

A mere three days until my wife and I board that plane headed for blizzcon in Anaheim. Only problem is I have three work filled days to get through and a million plus two things to get done before hand. I have to get the lawn mowed today or we not be able to find the house upon return. While doing laundry last night I stepped in a nice puddle as I went to put the stuff in the dryer, so I need to find out where the leak is. I need to get some food in the house for our friend whose staying with our dog, and I can't seem to find the spoon I had before I fell asleep last night.

Old man wisdom

An old man came into the pharmacy yesterday looking for large safety pins. We unfortunately were fresh out at the time. I apologized and he said it wasn't a problem and that most people these days he thought used Velcro anyways. Then he said one of the most profound things I've never thought of. He said "you know people don't realize these days that the west was won without bungee cords and duct tape." Why I guess your right sir. Hmmmmm something to think about.

Whales must go?

So last week while working in the yard and watching what appeared to be thousands of squirrels running around the neighborhood, I thought to myself " you know I have never seen a squirrel poop.". Deep I know.

Well today flipping through the channels I past a show on whales. Shots went back and forth between the whales swimming and tourist on a boat saying how beautiful the whales were. My thought today was that these animals are mammals and thus like me and the squirrel, what goes in one end should come out the other right? You never see that in all the under water ballet shots of whales swimming but you know it has to happen. What would all those tourist say if that was the first thing they saw?

Just another random thought.
