Day off grilling

Today was my day off from work so we decided to grill out before the days get too hot or buggy in these parts. We turned to the "cooking in the moment" cookbook by Andrea Reusing for a spring idea.

We decided on cast iron skillet fresh trout and headed out to see our local fish monger and then to the grocery store for some other weekly supply needs.

It feel very primal when you are cooking whole animals. Off to the grill with you fishies.

Add to it some fava greens mixed with mixed cherry tomatos as a side dish and we my friends are eating very very well.

Dinner time

My better half treated me to a delicious dinner when I got home from work tonight.

Sunday morning

Came back from a morning walk and found that not only can I watch English premier league soccer this morning but also the cricket championships (India v Sri Lanka). Looks like the remote last channel button is in for a workout today.
