The plague

So spring has come to the capital city, but the plaque has come to our home. Both the wife and I are down for the count today, and for the past few days. Paige is a few days ahead of me in the symptom time table, but I'm running her down quickly.  I actually had to call out of work today for the first time it over a decade. Ironically i have called out of work truthfully at the time of year when there is the most fake call outs (march madness).  So even though it's not even 10am and a beautiful spring day I must say goodnight.

New art

Besides some awesome cannolis and chocolate that paige brought me back from her trip to Philly, she also brought me back a couple of new art prints. 

Different dinner

A paige original grilled cheese for dinner, Brie and dark chocolate on banana bread, with a side of the chicken soup I made her last night.

Snow again

There is something special about the silence that appears as snow falls. The world, including work which is still a few hours from now, seems so far away. Tens of birds take turns at the feeders while I hear many others talking from the surrounding trees. Ahhh snow fall you intrigue me so.
