making the old new

 added a couple of new old items to my etsy shop.  i had made both of these about a year ago when i first satrted fooling around with making random things from old stuff around the house.

Making dinners

So since the new year my wife and I have been making dinners instead of what had turned into a continues stream of takeout. Part of what lead to our new cooking trend was we would often watch "no reservations" and "the layover" with Anthony Bourdain while we had dinner, and nothing can make you feel crappier about your turd burger than eating it while watching someone else eat delicious exotic meals from far off destinations. We have some great meals and while we may still be jealous of the places Bourdain goes, we are not quite as envious of his meals.

Another dream

Had a dream last night about being back in high school. High school wasn't bad for me so this didn't turn out to be a nightmare. I was just wandering around the school hiding behind things so I wouldn't be seen. Then I found a quarter candy machine and got a handful of sweet-tarts and the dream ended. Is that odd? What can it mean? Discuss among yourselves. I'm going back to sleep for a while.

A new favorite

Recently Netflix added a new show that is amazing. The show is "The Kumars at No. 42" and it's a bbc show. Check it out for a laugh. I honestly don't know many of the celebrities they have on, but the show's premise is what makes this show unique. The show is about a family that has built a studio, in what use to be their backyard garden, for their son who wants to be a television talk show star. In each episode the whole family interviews 2 celebs, but it is much more improv comedy as opposed to interviews.

The stink box

One of the things that annoys me the most each year when we come the the gift mart is the smell. As the the vast majority o both the buyers and reps here are female, about a 7 or 8 to 1 ratio, I am not talking about body odor or gaseous emissions. No what I'm referring to is the overwhelming cloud of perfume that seems to surround many of these ladies like a toxic fog that rolls in wherever they are. The one that gets me the most is when you get into an empty elevator and step into a gas chamber that assaults you with the left of floral remnants of a woman long gone. Eventually I remember to take a deep breathe as the elevator bell rings and hold it as I step across the threshold and pray I can hold that breathe long enough to get to the bottom floor, but even with that i fear that this cloud of toxic fume is still in mist form and will attach itself to me with great malice. How rude would it be where a gas mask in a professional setting.

Nightly dreams

Had a weird set of very angry dreams last night. Various people from work, family and even myself angrily yelling about odd things. Hope it's not a bad sign of things to come.

Good morning Atlanta

This morning begins the third day of a business trip to atlanta. Only one problem at the end I yesterday 2 of the 4 members or our traveling party were sick and this morning I too am congested with puffy itchy eyes. With three days to go little band may be in for a rough ride. I'm gonna go ahead and diagnose it as Ebola now.
